A new school year at Samson! This year we will be studying world history from the fall of Rome
to the fall of Constantinople, and American history from Reconstruction to the eve of World War I.
The first weeks of school saw us beginning an extensive unit on trees, Nature’s carbon scrubbers. Did you know that trees talk to each other via underground communication networks?
We also did a unit on Vikings and their impact on places including Dublin, Ireland.
Our character trait of the month was “courage” and our artist for Picture Study was Giotto (see center of book display).
Cooking class this month made a fruit filled pavlova as well as a caprese salad made from basil we grew ourselves.
